Looking through
My Window

Looking through My Window is a continuous watercolour painting project that I created based on personal observation from my bedroom window. It depicts a series of fragmented images about my surroundings/neighbourhood that I gradually painted on a roll of watercolour paper.

This work was created as an attempt to understand my new environment where I am living (as I just moved to London). While moving to another country can bring so much gaze and excitement, it also can cause alienation and a feeling of disconnectedness. Through this project, I was investigating how creative practice becomes a means to bring a sense of place and being.
